“ I've never seen staff who care about their customers' options as much as the people who work here. Top shelf people. Great beer and pizza. Also worthy of call-out: the staff here address and accelerate the rushes. It's a busy spot but they have figured it out. Human service over customer service. Superb vibe. Highest marks. ”
“ Fieldwork Brewing has a lot of outdoor and indoor seating, provides large pours (too much for me, but I'm a lightweight) on their beer flights. The Detroit-style (toppings to the edge/crispy cheese edges) pizza was appropriately cheesy and saucy with a good dough and topping ratio. A woman at the counter steered me right with the choice of an oat stout (Dark Night?). It was a 50/50 chance since they only offered 2 dark beers. IPA not so great for many of us one we hit 40's. Feel me? Add more stouts and maybe a porter? ”
“ My daughter recommended this place as we are in Berkeley for a wedding. Wow! We really enjoyed this place. It is far enough from campus to not be full of rowdy college kids. They serve Detroit style pizza, salads, and pretzels. Half the fun was reading the descriptions. One of the beers I got (Pulp) describes as "Smells like a Sunday drive through a citrus orchard in the peak of season". Another Cow House describes notes of overpriced chocolate.... A must visit for beer lovers! ”
“ I'm a huge fan of Fieldwork Brewing and the work they do with & for the communities that surround their local breweries. I adore the beer, love the neighborhood vibes, and after not being to their location in ages, it seems like have a revamped menu with..drumroll...Detroit-style pizza! As most already know, it's not my most favorable in the pizza hold-up line, but I can say, this is a yummy pie. We ordered the Marg ($19) and shortly after I realized for the next trip, I would love to grab the Kale Caesar and Hot Pretzel. I have a friend who tries to order brewery pretzels from each spot he sips at, and would love to throw this one into the mix. We came after a huge Cal vs. Stanford game where Cal won and the place was vibing. So great to see people out and about celebrating local, local sports, fun staff, and sharing a few of in my opinion, one of the best brew spots in Berk..kiddo and dog approved :) ”
“ I was up in the bay and stopped by Fieldwork and man was I happy I did. It is the best brewery in California in my opinion. Their West Coast and Hazy IPA's were all wonderful and had great flavor. The food was look awesome here and I will be back to try their pizza and salads. ”
“ 10/13/24 Welp, been a while since I dropped by again. As always, a huge array of amazing beers. However, this time I came at night to hang out with a friend, and I do have one complaint this time: EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the ENTIRE packed patio was either a family of Dad (and sometimes Mom) and their kids, or the same 30-50 year old yuppies I'm used to at work. Look, nothing wrong with that. I am what I am complaining of. But man, it's like a computer AI generated every person there--everyone is cookie cutter. Pretty boring. No one is drunk, no one is boisterous, no one is outrageous, and no one is "young"... So, I dunno, kinda boring... But, again, as a beer place, it's pretty good for the actual drinks. 4/5 #beergarden #pub #beers #sourbeer ”
“ Good place to grab a large variety of beers, and flights. Their flights are not the normal flights you get at a bar. They are actually a decent amount of beer per flight. I would say about 6 ounces per selection. They've got a great selection of IPAs, both hazy and West Coast, as well as a handful of other beers to complement their main courses. You can also create your own flight if the preselected flights aren't your thing. Good location with plenty of seating inside as well as an outdoor patio for enjoying the weather. ”
“ The best deep dish pizza I've had in a minute. I used to think that pizza hut or BJs pizza was legit but this puts them to shame. The service was amazing we ordered from our phone and everything was brought to us. The place seemed clean and somewhat smaller making it seem more crowded. But overall relaxed vibe and great quality beer too! ”
“ Happy National Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day. A few times a year I salute the guys I served with today is one of them. So I took pictures and flags with the guys that I lost during the war and set them up on the table and had me a flight is sours and complements my wife. She also surprised me with a little bit of pizza on the table And had a great evening . I love this beer. This has been a tradition with me on about four days of the year like Memorial Day and Veterans Day to go down and show my colors where my uniform and salute the guy it didn't come home. This is the place that I chose to do it with the cold beer that I think they would approve. The Pizza was awesome. I'm not really a fan of Haze but I am always willing to learn from experience. Today was that day. Dang!!! They just don't make a bad beer. I tried the flight of "The Haze Craze." they offer 6 tastings of Heady Money, Imaginator, King Citra, Losing Day, Super St Thomas, and Space Maze. I found the descriptions a bit humorous flowery and fruitful, BUT ... I was able to taste some of the suggested fruits identified. I actually enjoyed it very much and would revisit a glass of "Super Saint Thomas." Named after me I'm sure. LOL I'm still a huge fan of their Belgian Ales and Barley Wine. ”
“ Fieldwork Brewing Company is a Berkeley area brewery that Steven and I had earlier this summer. We had the Destination Unkown Imperial and Double New England IPA. This IPA type on this beer experience I actually enjoyed a bit more than previous times recently. The citrus, Grapefruit and juicy flavor features compliment this IPA a lot and there is a clean snap on your palette as well which I have come to enjoy a great deal when it comes to beer and cider drinking. The fact that this IPA is light I can appreciate as well as I continue to embrace lighter bodied beers from the craft beer exploration that Steve and I do. ”
